Today we release, pre-publication, a list of predicted effector genes for type 2 diabetes that act in specific pancreatic cell types from Struan Grant, Andrew Wells, Klaus Kaestner, and colleagues at the University of Pennsylvania. The work that discovered these variant-to-gene-by-cell type relationships is described in a preprint (Su et al., 2022) of a manuscript that is in press at Cell Metabolism and is also featured in a recent webinar presentation from Klaus Kaestner.
