Experiment summary

This study is a meta-analysis of genetic associations with muscle weakness, defined as low hand grip strength, in males of European ancestry aged 60 and older. Two definitions of hand grip strength were analyzed: the European Working Group on Sarcopenia in Older People (EWGSOP) definition (grip strength <30 kg for males and <20 kg for females) and the Foundations of the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) definition (<26 kg for males and <16 kg for females).

This dataset is a subset of the Muscle weakness GWAS dataset.
