Project

The Genetics of Ischaemic Stroke Functional Outcome (GISCOME) network aims to identify genetic variants that may influence functional outcome after ischemic stroke.

Experiment summary

This study analyzed genetic associations with modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score, a measure of disability, at 60 to 90 days after ischemic stroke. mRS was evaluated as two dichotomous variables (score of 0–2 vs 3–6, and score of 0–1 vs 2–6) and as a continuous variable (reported as the "mRS at 3 months" phenotype). Associations were either adjusted for stroke severity, or unadjusted.
