Project
The Cohorts for Heart and Aging Research in Genomic Epidemiology (CHARGE) consortium was formed to facilitate genome-wide association study meta-analyses and replication opportunities among multiple large and well-phenotyped longitudinal cohort studies.
Experiment summary
Length of the QRS interval on an electrocardiogram (ECG) is a measure of the duration of ventricular depolarization in the heart, and a prolonged QRS interval predicts an increased risk of death. This study surveyed QRS interval associations in 77,898 participants of European ancestry and 7,695 of African descent participating in the CHARGE consortium.
