Experiment summary
This study was a meta-analysis of genetic associations for clinically diagnosed and "proxy" Alzheimer's disease in 39,106 clinically diagnosed AD cases from the European Alzheimer & Dementia Biobank (EADB) consortium and UK Biobank, 46,828 proxy-Alzheimer's disease/dementia cases from UK Biobank, and 401,577 control subjects, all of European ancestry. Proxy AD/Dementia cases were defined as the self-report of at least one biological relative (parents and siblings) affected with dementia either at baseline or follow up.
