Experiment summary

This study analyzed genetic associations with maximum P-wave duration across the 12-lead ECG in over 64,000 individuals of four ancestries (56,943 European, 5,681 African, 1,186 Hispanic, and 630 Asian). P-wave duration (PWD) is an electrocardiographic measurement that represents cardiac conduction in the atria, and shortened or prolonged PWD is associated with atrial fibrillation.
