Experiment summary
This dataset represents the European-ancestry subset of the Obstructive sleep apnea GWAS dataset.
This study determined genetic associations with the Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI), a count of the number of total (apnea) and partial (hypopnea) breathing pauses per hour. Hypopnea was defined as having 3% or greater oxyhemoglobin desaturation. All phenotypes were rank-normalized, adjusting for age, age2, sex, age x sex, BMI, and BMI2. Mixed linear models (GEMMA) were used and were adjusted for genomic-control at a cohort level before running METAL.
