Project

The Heart Failure Molecular Epidemiology for Therapeutic Targets (HERMES) consortium is an international collaboration that aims to generate insights into the causal pathways leading to heart failure to inform new therapeutic approaches.

Experiment summary

This study was a GWAS meta-analysis for genetic associations with heart failure, a clinical syndrome defined by fluid congestion and exercise intolerance due to cardiac dysfunction. The complete summary statistics include 47,309 heart failure cases and 930,014 controls. The summary statistics minus UK Biobank samples include 40,805 cases and 542,362 controls (583,167 individuals total).
