Experiment summary
This study was an analysis of genetic associations with ischemic stroke and its sub-types in 942 ischemic stroke cases and 2,429 controls of Hispanic ancestry. Stroke sub-types were classified using the Causative Classification of Stroke (CCS) and Trial of Org 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment (TOAST) systems. Cases were defined as ischemic stroke cases with imaging confirmation of the absence of hemorrhagic stroke.
