Experiment summary
This study analyzed retinal layer thickness in 33,129 European-ancestry individuals. Those individuals represented a subset of unrelated individuals from the sample set of 44,823 European-ancestry individuals that was used for PheWAS analyses.
Phenome-wide association analyses for retinal thicknesses
This study associated the thickness of different retinal layers with 1,866 incident ICD-based conditions and 88 quantitative traits and blood biomarkers. PheWAS analyses were done using a sample set of 44,823 European-ancestry individuals, while the GWAS analyses were done in a subset of 33,129 unrelated individuals from this set.
