Ths study analyzed genetic associations for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD; 406 cases and 308,683 controls) and its complications cirrhosis (785 cases and 358,402 controls) and hepatocellular carcinoma (691 cases and 396,414 controls) in individuals of European ancestry from the deCODE Genetics cohort.
